Last year Currende performed the double choir music of Duarte Lobo in Antwerp cathedral with huge success. It was a program commissioned by the Laus Polyphoniae festival. The program, which was really a kind of impressionant ‘night music’, became one big 17th century entity with organ, 4 strings (2 renaissance violins and 2 viols), soloists and choir. Because of the big interest Currende wants to repeat this concert. It’s performance was too beautiful and impressing. The board of Currende is looking for the resources to make a recording of this remarkable program.

For the first time in more than 10 years and the release of Old Moon (2000) Jan De Wilde appeared again for a very special recording project in collaboration with Klara. Currende the ensemble led by Erik Van Nevel selected a number of known and lesser known old Dutch carols which Peter and William Stryckers Ceuleers wrote a new arrangement in the style of baroque masters as Bach, Telemann, Handel and Buxtehude. Jan de Wilde performs these atmospheric songs in his narrative style and Currende is his virtuoso partner. Six songs are sung by the children\'s Clari Cantuli led by Ria Vanwing, two in duet with Jan De Wilde. The CD appears on November 21, 2011 through EMI Classics Belgium
